BO_DY is a piece for four body percussionists, a group of percussion instruments (two marimbas, two vibraphones, two glockenspiels) and electronics, where the body becomes a real drum set. The movements of the dancers are intertwined with traditional percussion instruments and electronic sounds. All of these together create a continuous and dynamic connection between the physical world, the material world, and the world of technology. Body percussion is more than just an accompaniment; it plays a central role in creating the rhythm and the energy of the whole performance. BO_DY looks at how movement, sound and space are connected, in a continuous flow that mixes energy from the body, instruments and digital effects.
